Logan Naylor is our Gross/Redman unit manager. He oversees two other cowboys, our first calf heifers during calving, and a small cow herd.

Why’d you choose to work in agriculture?
First, a love for horses and being outside, and it’s grown into a love for taking care of the land and taking care of the cattle, figuring out how to make things sustainable, profitable, and good for the environment. But it all started with horses!
What’s your favorite part of your job?
I like the seasonal part. Everything changes. As soon as you’re tired of doing one thing, something new is going to come around. And every year is different, so you never feel like you’re stuck in the same old humdrum. I don’t like being bored.
What motivates you?
Coffee! Actually just doing a good job. Just do a good job – the best you can that day, that moment. Go home, hydrate, try to figure out how to do it better the next time.
What’s your favorite hobby?
Aside from the fact that I love what I do at work, that would be a tie between fly fishing and mountain biking.
